Hapag-Lloyd CEO Rolf Habben Jansen is sceptical of any big boxship merger deals in the offing.
He said he was not aware of major merger activity in the sector following a report this week that his company had been approached by CMA CGM about a tie-up.
“We do not see major takeovers in the industry,” Jansen said in a statement on the day of its annual general meeting.
