Shares in major container liners fell amid a global sell-off in equity markets as a new round of US tariffs targeting Chinese goods is teed up.

AP Moller-Maersk saw its class B shares settle 2.5% lower at DKK 7,600 ($1,195) today, while the broader OMX Nordic 40 index fell 1.2% for the day.

The drop puts Maersk shares at their lowest level since 2012.
