An Ethiopian cargoship has called at an Eritrean port for the first time in 20 years.
The arrival of the 28,100-dwt Mekele (built 2003) in Massawa on the Red Sea on Wednesday marked a further thawing of relations between the neighbours since a peace deal was signed in July.
Eritrea has also announced plans to upgrade a road to Ethiopia, local media said.
