French containership giant CMA CGM has become the second major carrier to opt to pass on the costs of the IMO's low-sulphur fuel rules to clients.
It has estimated the extra cost of the 2020 measures at $160 per teu.
"This additional cost will be taken into account through the application or adjustment of fuel surcharges on a trade-by-trade basis," it said.
