Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta has rejected parliament’s bid to lock Swiss shareholder MSC out of the revived Kenya National Shipping Line (KNSL).
Kenyatta refused to pass a new bill after MPs sought to have KNSL owned completely by the state, the Daily Nation reported.
He said this would "disadvantage the Kenya National Shipping Line whose majority shareholding is held by the government, through the Kenya Ports Authority”.
