The ferry owner's loss for the first six months of 2014 was EUR 4.5m ($5.9m), compared to a loss of EUR 9m in the corresponding period.
Total revenue went up by 2.5% to reach EUR 72.7m.
The improved first half performance is attributed to redeployment of the fleet, the withdrawal of vessels servicing Adriatic routes and the chartering out of two ships.
