Quarterly loss was EUR 8.8m ($11.5m), more than last year’s EUR 7.3m.
Revenue fell from EUR 42.9m to EUR 40m.
However, Anek said its actions over the recent economic crisis years will result in improved performance in 2014.
During the first six months of the year, Anek carried 538,000 passengers and 71,000 cars, from 566,000 and 77,000 respectively in the corresponding period.
On 1 August, the Crete-based company sold two of its vessels –Sophocles V (built 1990) and Lefka Ori (built 1992) - for EUR 21m.
