Rickmers-Linie and Nordana Project & Chartering are to merge operations in a bid to make the two multipurpose (MPP)/heavylift operations profitable again.
The businesses will be united from the start of July with the German company taking over the management of the Nordana business and gaining access to almost 60 MPP vessels.
It will mark the culmination of 12 months of ever closer ties, during which time the German operator has taken on representing its Danish counterpart in China and Japan.
