A Gabon project remains on the agenda at Shell. Marjun van Loon, vice president of LNG and gas processing, said the proposed West African mini-LNG scheme is in its early days but would involve sourcing both onshore and offshore gas.
General Electric’s energy division is believed to be assessing various options.
The plant is expected to be able to turn out about 1 million tonnes per annum and was previously based on floating technology.
