The historic shipment, which loaded at Trinidad & Tobago’s Atlantic LNG plant, was delivered to the 170,000-cbm FSRU newbuilding Hoegh Grace (built 2016) by BP’s 138,208-cbm British Innovator (built 2003).

It marks Colombia’s entry into the growing list of LNG importers worldwide that are opting to use FSRUs to kick-start cargo supply.

The Hoegh Grace is fixed on a long-term charter to Sociedad Portuaria El Cayao (SPEC), a subsidiary of energy company Primogas, and was installed at its new site off Cartagena on Colombia’s Atlantic coastline at the start of this month.
