South Korea’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has finally firmed up an order by Angolan oil company Sonangol for two suezmax tanker newbuildings.

The contract for the 158,000-dwt crude oil carriers is worth KRW 153bn ($137m), according to Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE), a subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings.

Hyundai Samho, one of the yards under KSOE's umbrella, is slated to deliver the duo from the first half of 2023.
