A substantial rise in US product imports on clean tankers has yet to translate into better freight rates, figures from shipowners' organisation Bimco show.
Chief shipping analyst Peter Sand said recovering demand has caused a 25.9% increase in shipments into the US over the first seven months of 2021, compared with last year.
