The Norwegian-led Green Shipping Programme (GSP) has developed new lending guidelines for banks to finance shipping’s green transition.
The scheme has been developed between the GSP’s financial partners, which include insurance mutual KLP, financial services companies DNB, Danske Bank and Swedbank. Also participating are classification society DNV and the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment.
The GSP believes green-transition finance will play a key role in the decarbonisation of shipping.
