Hong Kong’s rapidly expanding Jinhui Shipping & Transportation has added its first bulker of 2022.
The Oslo-listed company said it has agreed to spend $25.5m on a secondhand supramax.
No other details were provided.
Brokers have linked the company to the purchase of the 64,000-dwt ultramax Hanton Trader II (built 2014) for $26m this month, however.
The vessel is controlled by Nisshin Shipping of Japan.
