Singapore shipowner Vallianz Holdings has ordered what it calls a “first of its kind” service operation vessel (SOV) for offshore wind farm work.
Dutch shipyard Royal IHC has collaborated on the design of the battery hybrid next-generation unit and is promising high operational efficiency and autonomy levels.
The ship will have a low cost base with reduced emissions during operation, the companies said.
