Japan’s NYK Line has inked a long-term charter with French utility EDF on a recently ordered LNG carrier newbuilding.
The shipowner said its affiliate France LNG Shipping, which is owned jointly by NYK and Geogas LNG, signed the deal with the utility’s subsidiary EDF LNG Shipping on a 174,000-cbm vessel ordered from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
