Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines is said to have taken advantage of the cheap yen to sell a 14-year VLCC.
It has sold the Imabari-built, 310,084-dwt Duqm (built 2008) for $39m, according to broking reports. The buyer was not disclosed.
The diversified shipping giant appears to have sold it slightly below the market value of $40.64m
