Debt-ridden Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering plans to seek damages over the high-profile 51-day-long industrial action that started in early June.

Local news agencies reported that DSME is preparing to file a lawsuit for damages of about KRW 50bn ($38m) against the subcontractor branch of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions (KCTU), which it said illegally occupied the Okpo-based shipyard.
