US liquefaction developer Venture Global LNG has set a new price record by paying $250m each for two LNG carrier newbuildings ordered at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
On Friday, DSME said it had won a KRW 710.3bn ($500m) contract to build a pair of LNG carriers for a shipping company based in the Americas.
