Car carrier freight rates continue to rise from all-time highs as demand remains strong for a limited vessel supply.
Figures released by Norwegian owner Hoegh Autoliners show that it achieved a gross rate of $88.50 per cbm in October, against $87.30 per cbm in September and up 9.7% compared with the average rate in the third quarter as a whole.
