Trader and shipowner Vitol has agreed to buy LNG cargoes from Petronas for up to 15 years.

The company said the long-term deal starts in 2024.

It will take up to 0.8m tonnes per year on a delivered ex-ship (DES) and free on board (FOB) basis.

The primary supply will come from LNG Canada as well as from other parts of the Malaysian group's global supply portfolio.
