Partners MOL and Karpowership have bought a Moss-type LNG carrier from the up-for-sale North West Shelf (NWS) project fleet.

The ship is intended for use in the buyers' next floating power project.

TradeWinds understands that Japan's MOL, which has existing stakes in all of the vessels in the NWS LNG fleet, working with Karpowership under its new joint venture KARMOL, has bought the 127,452-cbm Northwest Shearwater (built 1991).
