Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) is acquiring four suezmax crude carriers from Alaska Tanker Company (ATC) in a deal that sees it take full control of the company.

The New York-listed Jones Act player says that subsidiary companies have entered into agreements with BP Oil Shipping Company USA and BP AMI Leasing to purchase the 193,000-dwt crude tankers Alaskan Frontier (built 2004), Alaskan Legend (built 2006), Alaskan Explorer and Alaskan Navigator (both built in 2005).
