Denmark's Maersk Tankers is today launching a new digital business to focus on offering its SimBunker optimisation tool to the industry.

The standalone company, which is yet to be named, will allow the company to develop and sell the software to other owners and managers in the tramp sector.

It called the move "an acceleration of its digital strategy."
