Spanish law enforcement authorities have been ordered to set free a Jordanian livestock carrier that was intercepted in the Strait of Gibraltar on suspicions that it was bringing more than just cattle back from Colombia.

An extensive search of the 6,400-gt Neameh (built 1979) by Spanish police and customs officials took place in the port of Algeciras on Thursday after the vessel had been intercepted by the Spanish navy while on a voyage from Cartagena to Damietta in Egypt.
