Japanese shipping giants NYK Line and Mitsui OSK Lines have restarted cruise operations.

The move comes after the two companies suspended sailings in February due to the pandemic.

The relaunch took place on Tuesday the companies vessels departed on short domestic cruises.

NYK Line’s 50,400-gt cruiseship Asuka II (built 1990) left Yokohama on a four-night cruise to Shimizu with 333 passengers on board.
