Evergreen Marine Corp has disposed of four of its older boxships for demolition in what has been a busy year for boxship recycling.
But the sale by the Taiwanese liner operator of three classic panamaxes and a sub-panamax is unlikely to stem the fall in demolition prices.
Evergreen has sold the 5,365-teu Ever Unique (built 1997) and Ever Unison (built 1996), 4,211-teu Ever Delight (built 1998) and 1,164-teu Uni-Ample (built 1997) for an undisclosed price.
