The 126,000-dwt shuttle tanker Stena Sirita (built 1999), partly controlled by Stena Bulk, is sold for green recycling.
The vessel is owned by a joint venture of Teekay Shipping and Stena Bulk of Sweden. The tanker is due for special survey and is understood to have been sold for demolition in Turkey at just $260 per ldt or $6.2m.
Stena Bulk CEO Erik Haanell confirmed the Stena Sirita was sold for green recycling.
