Anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) owners in the North Sea are enjoying the best spot rates for more than a decade.

Brokers reported a dwindling pool of available ships that have almost sold out for prompt dates as activity ramps up.

Viking Supply Ships’ 19,040-bhp Loke Viking (built 2010) managed a whopping £175,000 ($213,500) per day for a towage and installation job contracted by Bluewater for four firm days, with up to 10 days of options.
