Keppel Corp has taken a stake in a floating data centre startup as it looks to fill the void in its orderbook caused by the collapse of the offshore industry.

Subsidiary company Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T) has invested $10m in Nautilus Data Technologies Inc’s Series C preferred stock funding.

The California-based company employs patented water-cooling technology in pre-fabricated facilities, which are said to be more cost efficient and environmentally sustainable than traditional structures and can be deployed across the globe.
