Brazil's Petrobras has signed an agreement to lease an FPSO from Japan's Modec.

The unit will be installed in the Sepia field in Brazil's subsalt frontier, Petrobras said, according to Platts.

Modec will be responsible for the construction and operation of the FPSO, 185km off Rio de Janeiro state.

It will have an 180,000-barrels-per-day production capacity, as well as processing 6m cbm per day of natural gas.
