Belgian owner DEME will have a new CEO from 1 January.
Deputy COO Luc Vandenbulcke will succeed Alain Bernard at the dredger, OSV and tug giant.
Bernard, 63, started working for the group in 1980 and has been CEO since 2006.
The company said he has transformed it from a purely dredging organisation into a diversified marine engineering group with operations worldwide.
