An anchor handling vessel owned by Dof Subsea has been fixed to help with decommissioning work on the UK continental shelf.

The 4,982-dwt Skandi Skansen (built 2011) will be employed by an unnamed "major operator" in decommissioning subsea infrastructure from the third quarter this year.

"This is the second award with the same operator in as many months in the decommissioning segment," Dof Subsea said on Thursday, but did not reveal the value of the deal.
