John Fredriksen’s Deep Sea Supply has taken an extra $31m hit in its 2015 accounts due to an impairment charge on its Brazilian joint venture.

Its annual loss has now been restated to $151.39m, from $120.51m.

It blamed a $30.89m charge from its venture with BTG Pactual, DESS BTG.

“When assessing the recoverable amount of the investment, the company took into account the going concern uncertainties surrounding DESS BTG, which is in a challenging financial position,” it added.
