Norwegian oil major Equinor has fixed its third platform supply vessel (PSV) on a term deal in the last two days.

Simon Mokster Shipping said its 6,000-dwt Stril Pioner (built 2003) has been booked for four months firm, with three two-month options attached.

The deal starts in the second quarter. No rate was reported.

Mokster said: "This is very gratifying for the shipping company and especially that the vessel is now back for Equinor again."

On Tuesday, Equinor fixed two PSVs owned by Eidesvik Offshore and Havila Shipping.

Eidesvik's 6,200-dwt Viking Queen (built 2008) and Havila's 4,000-dwt Havila Clipper (built 2011) have also been fixed for a firm period of four months, plus options.

The terms start in the second quarter.
