Kuala Lumpur-based MISC Berhad has secured a contract to provide a floating, storage and offloading vessel (FSO) to Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. on a bareboat basis for a period of 16 years.

The company valued the contract at $441m in an announcement released today.

MISC said the deal was pursuant to it acquiring the 113,000-dwt FSO Mekar Bergading (built 2009), which until the end of last year was trading as the Nautica Bergading under the ownership of EA Technique of Malaysia.
