Energy giant Shell has renewed the contract of an floating production, storage and offloading unit jointly owned by Malaysian shipping giant MISC Berhad and offshore powerhouse SBM Holding.

MISC revealed that Brazilian Deepwater Production and Operacoes Maritimas em Mar Profundo Brasileiro, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brazilian Deepwater Production Contractors, companies jointly owned by MISC Offshore Holdings and SBM Holding, had entered into agreements with Shell Brasil for a five-year extension of the lease, operation and maintenance contract for the 392,000-dwt FPSO Espirito Santo (built 1975).
