Mining giant Anglo American appears to have taken only five months to conclude the charter of U-Ming Marine Transport's four LNG-fuelled capesize bulker newbuildings after floating its enquiry under the name Project Ambition in May.

However, Anglo American global head of shipping Peter Lye said the process took longer than that, as discussions were carried out with partners and shipyards before the tender was floated.
