A blockchain platform to digitalise the process of importing containers to north German ports will go live to shipping companies and forwarders by the end of this year.

Port community system developers Dakosy and dbh Logistics IT have jointly built the platform, which will be rolled out in the German seaports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen and Wilhelmshaven.

It will offer multiple options for the release process of import containers, providing users with choices in technology and processes.
