Port Kembla has become the second major port in Australia to resume wheat exports after a more than two-year absence from the trade.

Ince Shipping’s 57,373-dwt bulker Ince Tokyo (built 2015) departed the port earlier this week bound for the Middle East, according to port operator NSW Ports.

The ship’s departure marked the region’s first major export volume of wheat since 2018, following a prolonged period of drought across New South Wales.
