New LNG-fuelling company Probunkers has signed a letter of intent with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea for its first two LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) newbuildings.

The deal sees the outfit move a major step closer to building a global network of vessels.

The Athens-based company confirmed it has pencilled in slots for a pair of 7,600-cbm LNGBVs, which will be fitted with type-C tanks and have reliquefaction capabilities, after reviewing more than 30 design proposals for the ships.
