The Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry has continued its push into Asia, opening an office in Imabari.

The office, its fifth in Asia since 2017, will be run by the registry's Japan president Eiji Okazaki and will handle ship registrations and technical issues locally.

Okazaki had been the head of the registry's Tokyo office since its opening.

"Opening the Imabari office was a natural step for the Registry; as our client base grows in Japan, we must grow with it," said chief operating office Alfonso Castillero.
