The Norwegian Shipowners' Association and the Norwegian government have signed a declaration for increased gender equality in the maritime industries.
The parties will commit to measures for better recruitment, a safer working environment and a more inclusive workplace for all.
“Our industry has a long tradition of leading the way," Harald Fotland, president of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and chief executive of Odfjell, said in a statement.
