The Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA) has called for Indonesia to withdraw a new law that will restrict carriage of Indonesian palm oil and coal on national tonnage from 1 May.

As TradeWinds reported earlier on Tuesday, there is uncertainty over whether Indonesian Prime Minister Joko Widodo's government will push on with the law, after senior ministers suggested at a recent press conference that it would be withdrawn.
