Two Singapore shipowners have seen ships detained in the UK after falling foul of Port State Control (PSC) inspections.

The 37,808-dwt Banyan Pride (built 2002) was detained in Gibraltar on 27 February 2020, according to the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).

PSC inspectors found 12 deficiencies aboard the Marshall Islands-flagged chemical tanker, with five serious enough to warrant detention.
