A Norwegian tug has prevented a cargoship from grounding after it lost power off Vestfold.

The 5,400-dwt general cargo vessel Lilly Mitchell (built 1993) was 1.1km from the shore in strong winds when the tug reached it on Sunday night.

It had broken down while ballasting to Larvik to load stones.

The vessel, owned by Andre Wieczorek of Germany, reached port safely.
