Vale’s VLOCs could cause a “catastrophic” pollution incident if one ran into trouble, the Chinese Shipowner’ Association has warned.
Its latest broadside at the Brazilian miner’s giant bulkers comes a week after STX Pan Ocean’s 400,000-dwt Vale Beijing developed a leak prior to its maiden voyage.
