A TransEuropa ferry grounded in Ramsgate harbour, UK, due to high winds.
Local media said the 1,155-passenger Larkspur (built 1976) got stuck on a mud bank while entering the port on 8 January.
It was en route from Ostende in Belgium.
A tug was sent to free the vessel and bring it to its berth.
Robert Brown, Ramsgate harbourmaster, said: "The decision to abort the approach, due to the wind speed increasing to almost 60 mph whilst arriving, was made by the Larkspur's captain."
