Ship management giant Anglo-Eastern is addressing the seafarer shortage by targeting a big increase in younger officers.
The company’s Mission 30 aims to empower the next generation of maritime leaders, ensuring that 30% of its captains, chief officers, chief engineers and second engineers are under the age of 30 by 2030.
The current ratio is 1%, Anglo-Eastern said.
