Robbers targeted two bulk carriers and a reefer in the western end of the Singapore Strait early last month, in incidents that mark the end of a brief lull in high-seas theft in the area.

Engine spares were stolen from two of the vessels, which were attacked at night, the Singapore-based Information Fusion Centre (IFC) reports.
